A Beautiful Weekend Breakfast

  • Pear, just soft to the touch.
  • dry, rolled GF oats
  • thin-sliced almonds
  • coconut shreds -unsweetened used here, feel free to substitute with your favorite.
  • pumpkin-pie spice seasoning (or nutmeg, a clove, and cinnamon)
  • A vegan 'honey' ; such as apple 'honey'


  1. Slice a ripened pear into 4 sections. It is not necessary to worry about removing the core. Preserve the stem makes for a nice presentation.
  2. In a small bowl, mix about 1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie seasoning, a TB of dry, rolled oats, a TSP of some thinly sliced almonds and a pinch of coconut shreds. (Amounts for each baked pear slice.) Drizzle pear with vegan honey and then top with your oat concoction.
  3. Broil for 5-10 minutes, watching closely. It is done when toppings become golden brown. Enjoy!
